Exclusive! Kim Kardashian's POST Wedding Workout: She Was Back in the Gym Two ... - Wetpaint
If you think Kim Kardashian has been spending the week after her just wedding lazing in the sun on her honeymoon and feasting on Italian food, then think again. That newlywed is determined to keep the fabulous figure we all saw walk down the aisle in a form-fitting Vera Wang dress and prove that her boot camp regime is far from just bridal.
Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with Kim Kardashian's long-time trainer Gunnar Peterson to find out what the fitness regime of the new Mrs. Humphries is like.
"Kim came in two days after the wedding and is back again this weekend as soon as she gets back from Italy," Peterson told Wetpaint Entertainment in an exclusive interview. "Why stop? Exercise becomes part of your life and you can't just turn it on and off even after a big event like a wedding.
"We picked up the pace in the two weeks before the wedding, but the focus has always been to the best you can be and she's really dedicated to that," the trainer to the stars explained, who puts Hollywood's hottest celebrities through their paces, including Jennifer Lopez, Minka Kelly, NFL quarterback Tom Brady. He even used to train Kim's ex, Reggie Bush!
Despite jetting off to Italy's Amalfi Coast for a quick romantic getaway with her new husband, Kim isn't slacking off, explained Peterson. "She's barely taken five days off even with the honeymoon," he said. "She comes in three to five times a week even when she's traveling."
While some couch potato critics have accused Kim's workout regimen of being obsessive, Gunnar explains that it's all about consistency — not exercise addiction. "We stick to a plan and get the work done, it's as simple as that. She comes in for an efficient hour, it's all about getting bang for your buck."
The hard-working star and her NBA hunk are returning this weekend to appear at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday evening — not to resume filming a reality show as the rumor mill has suggested.
