Justin Bieber, Katy Perry Win Big at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards - Just So You Know

Justin Bieber Katy Perry at the 2011 MTV VMAs

The 2011 MTV Video Music Awards was full of surprises, tributes and big wins last night, and all of our favorite stars were out to celebrate the occasion.

Justin Bieber was only nominated for one award, but since it was left up to fan voting, it's no surprise that he swept the Best Male Video category, beating out the likes of Bruno Mars, Cee Lo Green, Eminem and Kanye West with his 'U Smile' video.

Katy Perry scored a moonman for Best Collaboration for her team-up with Kanye West on 'E.T.,' and won the biggest honor of the night, Video of the Year for 'Firework.'

The show honored Britney Spears with a music video tribute, featuring a talented crew of young dancers, and presented her with a lifetime achievement award. The VMAs also paid tribute to the late Amy Winehouse with a special speech from Russell Brand and a performance by Bruno Mars.

Demi Lovato paired up with Chord Overstreet to present the Best Collaboration Video award, while Selena Gomez teamed up with Taylor Lautner to present the Best New Artist award. Joe Jonas and Victoria Justice shared the screen when they introduced Chris Brown to the stage, but perhaps one of the biggest surprises of the night was when Beyonce revealed that she was pregnant, right after performing a knockout rendition of 'Love On Top.'
